Mrs. Ros Priboun is the Chairman
of Nokor Tep Foundation.

To my mother, to all mothers…

When my daughter Phavi offered me the Chairmanship of the Nokor Tep Foundation as her expression of gratitude for my role as her mother I felt humbled by her intention. This sentiment of gratitude is often expressed in secret in the intimacy of the alcove by so many daughters with their mother. But Phavi insisted that the goal of Nokor Tep is not only for one Mother but relieving healthcare for all mothers. For all mothers, who need all types of healthcare; mothers that are in need; mothers who are suffering quietly from health concerns; the many mothers that have nowhere to go to seek assistance when it comes to a late stage of illness.

Before such a noble cause and as a tribute to my peers - mothers whom I cannot help except by committing myself to relieving the silent suffering of my fellow peers – a suffering that I understand so well.

Women are prone to neglect their own health through shyness and through their need to reserve the family budget for the need of other members of the family, self sacrificing hence her condition.

Mothers are ageless. All children have a mother to cherish, from birth to death, mothers that provide the emotional stability and comfort, that provide the strength to their children to move forward in spite all our adversity in our existence. From this mythical image of our mothers, we can keep moving on in life from strength to strength; breaking through obstacles and difficulties.

In gratitude to the mother that all of us cherish for giving us birth, breath and vitality, I invite all of you to be a part of the Nokor Tep Foundation with the Nokor Tep Women’s Hospital as its cornerstone as a memorial for your mother, and to all our mothers.

I wish you all a happy life, the fulfillment of all your wishes, and the serenity of an accomplished life.

In the memory of our mothers, of all your mothers.

RosPriboun

Chairman of Nokor Tep Foundation
