Many thanks to all who attended our second Nokor Tep Gala Dinner on October 4, 2013.

It was another successful event that raised awareness and funds for the Nokor Tep Women's Hospital.

First Marathon ever, run in 4h20, just to show what you can do when you receive the right medical treatment - which is why Nokor Tep will be so important for Cambodian women. Donations in support of Nokor Tep are still coming in, I hope to have a total to announce on the week-end. Thanks so much to all who sponsored this run, your generosity is truly amazing!

Another victorious/successful event for Nokor Tep happened in Australia----------------------------

Our Inaugural Dinner last Saturday, 2 March at 7pm in Northcote, was a great success. A number of friends came together from all over Melbourne for a Cambodian feast.

Sarah, who was our host and had set up the room with great flair, gave a bit of an intro about the Victorian Friends of Nokor Tep and Paul (Mora's husband) gave the guests a slide show with a quick overview of Hospital's location and progress, as well as some pictures of typical Cambodian delicacies - which some felt quite lucky not to have on the menu that night!

Mora put together a delightful entree and main (with a bit of help of her family and friends) and Christina Chhay and her mum made the yummy dessert. Everyone tucked in with gusto, but there was still plenty of food and drink left over. We were able to raise a bit more money with over drinks with some more friends on the Monday night.

The end result: our first transfer of AU$1485 to the Nokor Tep initiative.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported the event. And watch this space as we come up with more events to Help Build Cambodian Women's Health.

Nokortep Singapore held the Singapore Walkathon 2013 on March 8, 2013.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"International Women's Day was marked with a very successful Walkathon in support of Nokor Tep Women's hospital. Over 160 supporters of Nokor Tep walked ten km, starting at the Marina Barrage. The route took in some wonderful sights of Singapore around the new botanical gardens, Kallang river and the Barrage itself. The weather was kind to us, a bit hot but with a wonderful sea breeze. All the walkers, in their Nokor Tep/Tabitha T-shirts, finished at the Gallery Cafe where a welcome snack was waiting.

We raised just under $9,500 from the event, which will pay for the equivalent of just under 25 square metres of the hospital.

Thank you to everyone that contributed photos from the walk. We have posted a selection below.

Remember if you registered for the virtual walk send us your photos when you do get the opportunity to follow the route and we will post them on the website. Also keep checking our website for new events.

Thank you again for standing (and walking) with the women of Cambodia to stop the silent suffering"

"Friday the 2nd November heralded our Nokor Tep Singapore inaugural Gala Dinner at the Conrad Hotel.

Two of our co-founders, Janne Ritskes and His Excellency Trac Thai Sieng, were guest speakers on the night. As well as hearing more about the Nokor Tep hospital, guests enjoyed an evening of music, excellent food and the opportunity to bid for some superb auction items. These ranged from chauffeured driven trips on Harley David motorbikes, a wonderful holiday in Bali through to beautiful carpets.  David Huxley kindly performed the role of MC for the evening and Edmund Rajendra of Eastern Carpets proved to be an excellent auctioneer.

A total of just over $77,000 was raised and we want to thank our many donors, volunteers and, of course, our guests on the evening who made the whole event such a success.  Everyone who donated more than S$125 through the silent auction, live auction or straight forward donations will of course be recognised on the Wall of Caring. The most up to date Wall of Caring can be viewed on www.nokor-tep.net. You can also view the photographs from the event on www.tabithasingapore.com, click on photo gallery, events.

We are already thinking about next years gala dinner so we will keep you posted!"
