The courageous team of seven bike riders who undertook the 2014 RIDE FOR NOKOR TEP from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, completed their fund-raising venture on Saturday 16 August at the Nokor Tep Women's Hospital construction site. To date, they have raised in excess of US$55,000.
They all agreed it was an exciting and rewarding undertaking and have promised to return next year - and they are looking to substantially swell their numbers. Over the final 200kms, they were joined by a lady from Johannesburg who has also promised to return and bring several friends!
The team was greeted by the co-founders of the Nokor Tep Foundation - H E Ing Katha Pahvi, Cambodian Minister of Women's Affairs, Janne Ritskes, the Director of Tabitha Cambodia, H E Trac Thai Sieng, Vice-Governor of Phnom Penh and Mrs Ros Priboun (Chairman) - as well as a number of other people including students and families from the International School of Phnom Penh and Tabitha staff members.
